FlowAesthetics – Digitization and AI support in an aesthetic medicine practice

In the research and development project FlowAesthetics, the Chair of Information Systems, especially Digital Process Management works together with LASER ÄSTHETIK, a private aesthetic medicine practice with multiple locations in North Rhine–Westphalia (NRW). The aim is to systematically analyze selected processes along the patient journey as well as internal support processes and to improve them step by step.
The starting point is the practice’s existing digital systems (appointment and customer management, document storage, accounting, etc.) along with a detailed assessment of current workflows. Building on this, potential opportunities for digital assistant and automation solutions are identified—looking ahead, also making use of modern AI methods where this is appropriate, meaningful, and responsible.
As an R&D project, FlowAesthetics combines the joint development and real-world testing of solution ideas in practice and includes a scientific classification and evaluation.
