Welcome to the website of the Munich Computer Systems Research Lab, μCSRL for short. Our focus is on conducting world-class research in language-based security, with a special focus on software diversity. We strive to research our fields along the whole spectrum of fundamental research, i.e., spanning both theory and practice.

Besides our research in security, we are interested in all facets of research connected to programming languages, including, among others, compilers, interpreters, optimizations, formalization and verification. Recently we have also started research in automated vulnerability detection with fuzzing, as well as the reduction of complexity required to build substantial system software, such as compilers, linkers, and browsers.
