INTERNSHIP COORDINATOR

Dear students,

The Chair of Public Management is responsible for the management of the student internships (Module 1270). Please, contact our secretary for any formal questions and Univ.-Prof. Dr. Julia Thaler, for any content-related questions via email.

Important issues at a glance:

  • Detailed information and required documents can be found in our Ilias-Group.

  • By the 15th of April at the latest of the year: Submission of the personal information form for a national internship to the dean’s office of the Department of Economics and Management (Putting into the deanships’ postbox, room 1112, building 36).

  • By 15th of October at the latest of the previous year: Submission of the personal information form and the corresponding verification for a study abroad (usually a Summer School) or an internship abroad to the dean's office of the Department of Economics and Management (Putting into the deanships’ postbox, room 1112, building 36). For a study abroad or an internship abroad, the relevant military guidelines are to be respected.

  • Within a week or two, you can pick up the approved personal information form (you will be informed by email), transmit it to the military supervisor and submit the documents to the Intern Office (Examination Office, Department I.1). Please, note that the personal information form has to be submitted completed and with all signatures to the Intern Office until the end of April or respectively until the end of October (previous year) to the Foreign Office in case of a study abroad.

  • Upon completing your internship or stay abroad: Submission of the complete documents considering the submission formalities. All documents are summarized with a paper clip (attendance certificate is used as the top sheet, please do not use folders or staples), submission to the dean’s office of the Department of Economics and Management (Putting into the deanships’ postbox, room 1112, building 36).
    • Documents for an internship (at home or abroad): Attendance certificate + intern booklet (composed of the cover sheet, copy of certificate and internship report)
    • Documents for study abroad (Summer School): Attendance certificate + confirmation of the foreign university + request to the chairman of the board of examiners for recognition of performance

  • After examining and approving your internship report or your stay abroad to the Examination Office, we forward the attendance certificate.

  • Please mention your email address for any questions in your intern booklet.
