Master's program

The Master's program in Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences builds on an engineering bachelor's degree programme by integrating all relevant disciplines and conveys in-depth competence in solving complex engineering problems.

In the Master's program, the knowledge of scientific methods from an engineering bachelor's degree programme is first deepened and expanded. It thus provides the basis for scientific work in civil engineering and environmental sciences, e. g. for a subsequent doctorate. On this basis, the modules, some of which are designed to be interdisciplinary in nature, impart knowledge that is of particular importance in management functions in private companies, public institutions and the armed forces. Even more than in the Bachelor's programme, students are encouraged and challenged to be able to discuss and criticise (among other things in the sense of questioning), to develop organisational skills and a sense of responsibility (including the consequences of their own actions, personal responsibility).
