Inaugural lecture by Prof. Dr. Christoph Peters on June 9
16 June 2026
On Tuesday, June 9, Prof. Dr. Christoph Peters held his inaugural lecture at the university’s Casino. Following a very appreciative welcome address by the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration, Prof. Dr. Julia Thaler, Prof. Peters gave insights into his academic work, key research areas, and future perspectives and points of connection of the professorship in his lecture titled “Designing Human-Centered Processes and Services Using Artificial Intelligence.”
The event brought together representatives of the university leadership, colleagues, representatives of the research centers and institutes in which Prof. Peters is active, further university members, and, of course, his team from the Universität der Bundeswehr München. In addition, numerous academic companions, friends, and family members attended. The inaugural lecture thus provided not only an academic setting, but also a valuable opportunity for personal exchange.
Following the lecture, a get-together offered the opportunity to continue the conversations in a pleasant atmosphere. The evening was characterized by many interesting encounters, appreciative conversations, and a lively exchange between academia, the university, and Prof. Peters’ personal environment.
We sincerely thank all guests for attending and are pleased to look back on a thoroughly successful event.
