Acces, Loan, Study and Work Spaces


The University Library is open to the public and can be used by anyone without any restrictions on site.

Please note, however, that anyone not being a member of the Bundeswehr University Munich or of the Bundeswehr must register in advance for their library visit here.

Study and Work Spaces

There are 300 user workstations in the University Library. All desks are equipped with a power supply and a LAN connection. Please bring required cables with you. Wi-Fi is available for all members of the Bundeswehr University Munich as well as via eduroam.

You can copy and print out in the University Library on several Multi-Functional Printers (MFPs), which university members can use with a Computing Centre card. For all other users, overhead book scanner are available free of charge. Please bring a USB stick with you to save your scans.

If you want to  borrow media from the University Library, you need a borrower’s card.

Borrower’s cards are issued to all members of the Bundeswehr University Munich as well as to all residents in the area covered by the suburban railway network of Munich.

As an exception to this rule, you may also be admitted for borrowing without these requirements by special permission of the library director: in this case send an email to
