Home In the year 2017, all major components of the teststand were renewed. These comprise the main drive motor and its controller, clutch and drive unit, as well as the axial compressor and the cooling system. Representing the latest technologie in this field, a newly designed 3 stage axial compressor is now driven by a speed-controlled 1,8 MW electric motor to produce the relevant airflow inside the wind tunnel.
