Successful doctoral dissertation defense

Our staff member Katrin Waßmuth successfully defended her dissertation entitled “Three Essays on Time Window Assortment Design for Grocery Home Delivery” at the University of Mannheim on December 12, 2025. In her work, she is the first to highlight the strategic dimension of time window design in online grocery retailing and systematically investigates this topic using analytical models.

In addition to her primary supervisor, Prof. Dr. Moritz Fleischmann, and the reviewer Prof. Dr. Cornelia Schön, the examination committee also included Prof. Dr. Niels Agatz (Erasmus University Rotterdam) and Prof. Dr. Claudius Steinhardt (University of the Bundeswehr Munich).
