Chair of Data Analytics & Statistics at IFORS 2026

The 24th Conference of the International Federation of Operational Research Societies (IFORS) takes place at the University of Vienna from July 12 to 17, 2026. Under the theme "Decision Support for a Sustainable World ", the conference brings together around 2,500 researchers from the field of Operations Research.

The Chair of Data Analytics & Statistics (Prof. Brieden) is represented with two research presentations at the international conference. Dr. Katrin Waßmuth presents her work entitled "Time Window Assortment Design with Stochastic Demand: The Value of Overlapping Time Windows ", while Philipp Hausenblas presents the project "Bid Price Control in Network Revenue Management under Degeneracy ".

In addition, the Chair of Business Analytics & Management Science (Prof. Steinhardt) is represented with several research contributions. Simon Schmidbaur presents the project "Block Now or Relocate Later? Availability Control of Short-Term Rentals in Vehicle Sharing Systems Considering Long-Term Rental Reservations ", Kilian Hein presents "Delivery Profiles in Attended Home Delivery: Integrating Demand Management and Vehicle Routing Problems with Delivery Options ", and Dr. Matthias Soppert presents "Quantifying the Cost of Constraints in Dynamic Pricing ".
