General English for Defence Engineering Students

As part of the "Defence Engineering" degree programme, language training is provided to enable students to obtain a certificate of English proficiency in accordance with Standardized Language Profile (SLP) 2221. This language training comprises 3 TWS and takes place in the 5th trimester (winter trimester).

In preparation for language training, an English placement test is held during the winter term of the first year of study, provided that students have not already submitted test results. Students are then placed in appropriate language levels based on their test results. Depending on prior knowledge, it is also possible to achieve a higher SLP level than 2221.
