5. Provisions for Online Instruction (Summer Courses)

5.1 Obligations of Course Participants

By registering for the course, participants agree to attend instruction via video conference if this form of instruction was announced at the time of registration. Participants are responsible for providing a suitable device and internet connection for participation in the course. Participants should independently verify the usability of the selected conferencing service with their device before the course begins. The organizer will announce which service will be used.

5.2 Consequences of Technical Failures

If participants experience difficulties with their internet connection or device that make participation impossible or interrupt participation, no entitlement arises to a refund or make-up instruction. If instruction is canceled due to technical difficulties on the instructor’s side, the canceled instruction may be made up at an alternative date or a proportional refund may be granted.

5.3 Effect of Technical Obstacles on Withdrawal Terms

No exceptions to the withdrawal deadlines described in Section 4 arise from technical obstacles.
