Dr.-Ing. Robert Schwarz

 

Robert SCHWARZ has been a senior research fellow at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich since 2012. From 2006 to 2012, he was with the Federal Office of the Bundeswehr for Information Management and Information Technology, where he was involved in the German program for satellite communications of the Bundeswehr (SATCOMBw). He is now leading the research group of Satellite Networks and Waveforms at the Munich Center for Space Communications, a research facility at the campus of the University of the Bundeswehr Munich. In addition, he is the manager of the Satellite Ground Station and Over-the-Air Test Range of the Munich Center for Space Communications. Dr. Schwarz is a member of the German society of information technology (VDE/ITG), an IEEE member, a member of AFCEA, and a member of the Research Center SPACE. He is an advisor to the German Ministry of Defence and a national expert in the NATO SATCOM Capability Team.
Dr. Schwarz holds a master’s degree in information technology (2006) and a Ph.D. in satellite communications (2019), both from the University of the Bundeswehr Munich.
