Curriculum Vitae

Professor Sackmann is the owner of the professorship for Organizational Behavior at the Department of Economics and Management at the Bundeswehr University Munich. She is on the board of the Institute Development of Sustainable Organizations as well as of the research center for Strategy, Leadership, Organizational culture and Personell Management and she is guest professor at the University St. Gallen.  

Furthermore she hold lectures at the Business School in Vienna, Jiao-Tong University Shanghai, EBS European Business School, RWTH Aachen and had guest professorship at the Graduate School of Management UCLA and the University of Constance.

She received her Ph. D. in Management at the Gradate School of Management, UCLA, where she taught and researched for several years. She received her psychology diploma at the University of Heidelberg after additional studies in Marburg, Los Angeles, and New York. 

Professor Sackmann was executive for development and project as well as managing partner at the MZSG Management center St. Gallen (today Malik MZSG) and dean at her department of Economics and Management in Munich. Her core work fields in research, teaching, management/executive development, and consulting are in the areas of leadership, organizational culture, change management, organizational development, and intercultural management. She has designed and executed management- and executive development programs for a number of renowned national, international, and multinational companies, coached, leaders, and implemented culture change and organizational development projects. 

Professor Sackmann has published several books and a multitude of articles in her core work fields and is a scientific member on various advisory boards.
