Launch of the new research colloquium Computational Science and Engineering (CSE)
8 April 2022
The Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) Research Colloquium is a series of events founded and jointly organized by Professors Apel, Brünig, Kiendl, and Popp. Selected guest lecturers present current research results in the field of Computational Science and Engineering. The colloquium will usually take place at least once a quarter on a weekday at 5:00 p.m. at the university. Afterwards, all participants are cordially invited to a social gathering at a nearby restaurant.
The first lecture in this newly established research colloquium Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) took place on April 7, 2022.
At the invitation of Prof. Kiendl, Dr.-Ing. Renate Sachse, from the Chair of Numerical Mechanics at the Technical University of Munich, gave to numerous participants an excellent presentation on the topic
"Motion Design für optimale Bewegungen flexibler Strukturen"
("Motion Design for optimal movement of flexible structures")
The subsequent discussion and Q&A session confirmed the great interest of the audience. After the event, organizers, speakers and participants came together at a local restaurant for a social gathering.
The CSE Colloquium is taking place on a regular basis - the next presentation is already scheduled and will been announced on the CSE Colloquium website and by e-mail. Anyone who would like to be added to the mailing list can contact Philipp Zilk via e-mail: philipp.zilk@unibw.de.
