CSE Colloquium presentation by Jarkko Niiranen

The third lecture of the Computational Science and Engineering (CSE) research colloquium, organized by Professors Apel, Brünig, Kiendl and Popp, took place on October 13, 2022.

At the invitation of Prof. Kiendl, Jarkko Niiranen, Associate Professor in Computational Structural Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering, Aalto University, Finland gave to numerous participants an excellent presentation on the topic

"The mechanics of lattice-type structures: theoretical and computational modeling and experiments".

The subsequent discussion and Q&A session confirmed the great interest of the audience. After the event, organizers, speakers and participants came together at a local restaurant for a social gathering.

The CSE Colloquium takes place regularly, at least once a quarter.
