BauProtect - Prof. N. Gebbeken

The BauProtect research group at the Institute for Mechanics and Statics is particularly concerned with the research and development of materials and building structures for the entire range of dynamic effects (e.g. earthquakes, tornadoes, vehicle impacts, explosions, impact, floods). The aim of our work is to work on topics from the basics of statics and mechanics to application. The results of our investigations flow z. B. in the dimensioning of embassies or in quick diagnosis tools for buildings. The research covers all materials and ranges from clay and concrete to glass, ceramics and fiber composites.

We have an interesting and varied working environment, excellently equipped workplaces at an internationally renowned institute with good contacts to authorities, the construction industry and other research institutions.
