Are you ready to launch your international academic journey?
The Department of Aerospace Engineering at the Universität der Bundeswehr München (UniBw M) warmly welcomes exchange students from abroad!
Aerospace engineering is one of the most dynamic and multidisciplinary fields of study today. Our program combines a solid foundation in physics and materials science with cutting-edge topics such as, autonomous systems and drones, lightweight structures and smart materials, propulsion systems from jet engines to sustainable alternatives, supersonic and hypersonic aerodynamics, satellite technology and space systems, control stations for teleoperation and human-machine interaction, advanced software, simulation, and mechatronic systems.
At UniBw M, you’ll have access to a wide range of exciting and challenging modules across all academic terms. While most lectures are currently held in German, many courses offer English teaching materials and exams. We’re actively developing a fully international curriculum to further support our global student community. Our academic calendar is divided into three terms: Autumn: October – December, Winter: January – March, Spring: April – June. This structure enables flexible study planning for our student soldiers and allows for completion of a Master’s degree within four years. For longer courses, partial module examinations are available to suit exchange timelines.
Beyond coursework, we offer excellent opportunities for Bachelor’s and Master’s thesis projects, as well as PhD research exchanges. Cutting-edge laboratories and an inspiring, collaborative research atmosphere provide the ideal setting for tackling both fundamental scientific questions and real-world engineering challenges – from fluid and thermal dynamics to innovative materials, structural design, and intelligent aerospace systems.
Please refer to the overview (sorted by term) and the module descriptions for Bachelor and Master.
We’d love to help you take off with us in one of Europe’s most innovative regions!
