Project Description: We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Master's student to undertake a thesis project focused on the development of multi-static drone-based MEMS SAR equipment. This project aims to design, simulate, and potentially prototype a compact, efficient SAR system that can be deployed on drones, enabling multi-static operations to improve imaging resolution and area coverage.

 

Responsibilities:

● Conduct comprehensive research on MEMS technology for SAR applications and multi-static SAR configurations.

● Design and simulate MEMS SAR components optimized for drone integration, focusing on miniaturization, power efficiency, and signal processing capabilities.

● Explore innovative solutions for coordinating multiple drones in a multi-static SAR operation to enhance imaging capabilities.

● Analyze the performance, feasibility, and potential applications of the developed system.

● Collaborate with a team of experts in MEMS, SAR technology, and drone operations.

● Document the research, design process, and findings in a detailed Master’s thesis.

 

Qualifications:

● Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Remote Sensing, or a related field.

● Strong background in SAR technology, MEMS, and remote sensing principles.

● Experience or strong interest in drone technology and its applications.

● Proficient in simulation and design tools relevant to MEMS and SAR system development.

● Creative and analytical thinker with the ability to solve complex engineering problems.

● Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
