The IP Service of the University advises and supports all university members on all topics related to IP - from the disclosure of inventions to their evaluation and exploitation in collaboration with external service providers.
For all members of UniBw M who intend to use industrial property rights as part of their spin-off, for example, the IP Service offers support in creating the invention disclosure, evaluating the invention for patentability, and possibly filing the invention for patent by the university with the help of patent exploitation agencies such as the Bavarian Patent Alliance GmbH (BayPAT), as well as developing the terms for use.
