Immanuel Klein and Prof. Dr. Peters at the PhD-Seminar “Research Methods in Information Systems” of the Munich Universities
10 October 2025
From October 6 to 8, 2025, our research assistant and PhD student Immanuel Klein participated in the PhD seminar “Research Methods in Information Systems.” The seminar is a joint initiative of all Munich universities and their Information Systems chairs and is open to all PhD students in Information Systems from Munich’s universities. It is organized by Prof. Hess from LMU Munich and was held this year at the Technical University of Munich in Garching.
The seminar offered PhD students a concise overview of key research methods — ranging from quantitative and qualitative approaches to ethnographic research, design science, and formal-analytical methods.
As part of the seminar, Prof. Dr. Christoph Peters contributed an overview of the Design Science Research approach and provided insights into current developments in this research field.
The seminar was an excellent opportunity for academic exchange and networking with PhD students from other universities.
