NCC-DE Workshop

16. 07. 2026 | 10.00 - 16.30

Europe is a global leader in generating and publishing research findings on cybersecurity. However, it often struggles with transferring these findings to the market and society - from commercialization and widespread adoption to scaling up. The National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre Germany (NCC-DE) would like to discuss with experts how the transfer of research results toward broad application in Europe can work (even) better and secure the EU’s global leadership in cybersecurity.

In this thematic workshop, the NCC-DE will join forces with experts to discuss how to bring excellent cybersecurity research into practical application more quickly and successfully. How can companies, government agencies, and military institutions better benefit from research findings? The workshop will focus on research transfer, with a particular emphasis on spin-offs, startups, and transfer to small and medium-sized enterprises. Together, we will discuss both hurdles and challenges as well as opportunities and possibilities.

Through this exchange, we aim to identify concrete best practices that are already enabling successful transfer today. At the same time, we will discuss how existing funding instruments can be better aligned with the needs of researchers, founders, and companies. The goal is to derive practical recommendations for action and to provide impetus.

The event offers a platform for networking, exchanging experiences, and strategic discussion. Share your perspectives and actively help shape the future of cybersecurity transfer!

The event will be held in German!
