Julian Werner

Career

After joining the Bundeswehr,  Julian Werner was trained as a paratrooper officer. He then underwent the selection process and training for the Army's Specialized Forces and served several years with the Fallschirmjägerregiment 26.

Werner was deployed abroad as part of the Joint Special Operations Task Force "Gazelle" and the military evacuation operation of Sudan.

Since 2024, Werner is a researcher at CISS, focusing on strategy and military innovation and working on questions of tactics and modern warfare, particularly urban warfare.
