Missed the workshop? Then watch the video!

Together with colleagues, Christian Nitzl offered an online workshop on conducting state-of-the-art mediation, facilitation, and conditional mediation analyses using partial least square structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) at the end of October. Those who missed the workshop can now watch the video to get informed. Of particular interest, an example from early crisis detection is used at the beginning of the recording to illustrate the role of mediation analysis in research. The video can be viewed here.

About the content of the workshop: The analysis of mediation processes is at the heart of answering many research questions. It goes beyond looking at direct effects alone, which often involves oversimplification in mapping observations. A mediation analysis informs the researcher as well as practitioners whether an intervening construct enhances or impedes the relationship between an independent construct and a dependent construct. Conditional mediation analysis integrates mediation and moderation analyses to examine how mediation effects vary as a function of context, limitations, or individual differences.
