End of a Hegemony: Russia's waning influence in the South Caucasus and new regional powers

Russia's hegemony in the South Caucasus is history. The emerging gap is being filled by Turkey, the United States and China, on their own terms, not according to European values. The new CISS Munich Working Paper by Bojan Laganin argues that Germany and the EU can still make a difference, where concrete contributions are possible: in the Armenian–Turkish normalisation process and in energy connectivity to Europe.
