Publication of the research paper: “Creating and Validating a Corpus and Dataset of Government-Issued Travel Advisories From the Internet Archives”

The paper “Creating and Validating a Corpus and Dataset of Government-Issued Travel Advisories From the Internet Archives”, co-authored by Laura Braun and Christian Oswald, utilizes a framework to crawl historical government-issued travel advisories from the Internet Archive and validates the scraped data against ground truth data for the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. Findings are promising and the resulting dataset, once finalized, is envisioned to find use in areas as diverse as the social sciences, humanities, or tourism research.
