Dr. Christian Nitzl is Head of Research Kompetenzzentrum Krisenfrühherkennung (KompZ KFE) and Senior Researcher at the Center for Intelligence and Security Studies (CISS) .

His research interests include the development and application of path models for crisis prediction, the development of reliable and valid indicators for crisis prediction, the use of artificial intelligence/Big Data in intelligence and security-related domains, and human decision-making behavior in crisis prediction. Dr. Nitzl has published in Acta Astronautica, Business Research, Data Base for Advances in Information Systems, Financial Accountability & Management, Hospital Pharmacy, Industrial Management & Data Systems, International Journal of Market Research, Journal of Accounting Literature, Journal of Accounting & Organizational Change, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Business Economics, Journal of Business Research, Journal of Health Organization and Management, Journal of Management Control, Journal of Public and Nonprofit Management, Public Management Review, SAGE Open Medicine, Schmalenbach Business Review, and Die Betriebswirtschaft, among others. So far, he has worked several times as a reviewer for top-class professional journals. Christian Nitzl has received several awards. In addition, he regularly coaches researchers, practitioners and is a frequently invited speaker.
