2025 German Autonomy Summit at TUM

We participated in the 2025 German Autonomy Summit. The conference brought together experts from academia and industry working on autonomous systems and provided an excellent platform for exchange and networking.

 

As part of the program, Prof. Bassam Alrifaee contributed a keynote. Additionally, our team – Simon Schäfer, Jianye Xu, Julius Beerwerth, Hazem Ibrahim, Thomas Stewens, and Jonathan Kelm – presented posters showcasing different aspects of our ongoing work on autonomous systems.

 

A particular highlight was the recognition of Jianye Xu, who received the Best Poster Award. This distinction is a strong acknowledgement of his outstanding work and innovative contributions to the field.

 

We thank the organizers — Daniel Medina, Johannes Betz, Lars Ullrich, Jane Jean Kiam, Ignacio Alvarez, Sedva Abadpour, Ahmed Hussein, Alonso Llorente, Simon Schäfer, and Lars Grundhoefer — for hosting such an excellent event. We look forward to continued collaboration and future joint activities in the area of autonomous systems.

Participation in IEEE ITSC 2025

We are pleased to share that we participated in the IEEE International Conference on Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSC) 2025 in Gold Coast, Australia, on November 18-21, 2025!

New video on the CPM Lab!

The CPM Lab is an open-source, remotely accessible testbed for Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAVs). It supports research in multi-agent decision-making using a digital twin and a fleet of real and virtual µCars — and has already been replicated at other universities.

Control and Autonomy Talk about Data-Driven Safety Verification with Amr Alanwar

In this talk, new algorithms for developing data-driven reachability analysis from input/output data with formal guarantees are presented. The proposed algorithms support the inclusion of side information in the form of temporal logic to reduce the conservativeness of reachable sets. Subsequently, the effectiveness of the algorithms is presented using an application.

CPM Global Workshop

Prof. Bassam Alrifaee and his team at the Institute of Autonomous Vehicles (Department of Aerospace Engineering) held the first CPM Global Workshop at the end of October – and it was a complete success!

Bassam Alrifaee was awarded the Best Associate Editor Award for IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Vehicles in 2023!
