Ways of deriving criterion variance-covariance matrix functions are examined in the paper. First of all the initial project is designed, in which the initial variance-covariance matrix of measurements is given. After this the accuracy of the functions of the unknowns is determined, which will ensure the purpose of the network. The mean square errors of the unknowns, the bearings, the angles, the relative error of the distances, the two elements of error elipses of two orthogonal functions and so on were determined. The criterion variance-covariance matrix is formed in the iterative process.
