Abstract

The NAVSTAR-GPS System is opening a new era in the worldwide positioning and navigation capabilities.

Basically there are three different major groups of user equipment for:

  • Clocksynchronisation and time transfer
  • High-precision positioning for geodetic applications
  • Navigation for different users.

In this paper the differences between the three groups will be described and the expected and allready measured values discussed.
