The University of Hannover, Sonderforschungsbereich 149 owns a TI 4100 NAVSTAR Navigator since June 1984. This receiver was used, partly together with additional receivers on loan, within various projects, mainly in Northern Germany. GPS-observations were carried out on fixed and moving platforms. Simultaneous observations were performed in control networks, where terrestrial, Doppler and Macrometer results of high accuracy are available for comparisons. Projects and experiences with the TI 4100 are presented and discussed. First results from built-in user solution as well as from data processing with software developed at the University Hannover are given.
