CASC – Institute for Continuing Education

The concept of lifelong learning is gaining ever more importance in our modern information societies, where professional life is increasingly based on knowledge. Those who hold a job are faced with the challenge of updating their knowledge more often than in the past. Universities play an important part in this sector of education, which will gain even more significance in the future.

The Universität der Bundeswehr München has thus set itself the task of offering its graduates continuing education via a newly-founded institute devoted specifically to this sector.  CASC – the Campus Advanced Studies Center –  is responsible for all activities involved in continuing education at the Universität der Bundeswehr München.  The aim of the institute is to incorporate the university's research strengths into continuing education programs and to position the Universität der Bundeswehr München as an institution which offers excellent opportunities for continuing education and professional development.

As of 2009, the Universität der Bundeswehr München offers attractive continuing education opportunities for its alumni and for future leaders in the private sector.  In addition to the master's program already offered, summer schools and various customized programs are also being organized.  The main objectives are to foster the professional development of our graduates by way of education based on cutting-edge research and technology and to provide them with the chance to get to know potential employers.
