The Bundeswehr University Munich maintains faculty and student exchange programs with numerous partner institutions around the world. Please visit Partners to get an overview of the various exchange programs our students can choose from.
Studying at one of our partner institutions offers the following advantages:
- tuition costs waived
- assistance in obtaining a visa and finding an apartment via the International Office of the partner university
- in most cases there is a contact person at our university who can provide you with details concerning study and research at the partner university
Naturally, students who are interested in studying at non-partner universities are free to apply independently as exchange students.
In preparation for your stay abroad, please contact the following offices:
International Office: information about the application process; information concerning partner universities.
Dean/ International Affairs Coordinator of your Department: provides assistance in planning your stay abroad and preparing the Learning Agreement; prepares an official statement concerning your stay abroad.
Military Group Leader (Gruppenleiter): reviews your application for a stay abroad, requests assignment orders, etc.
Examination Office: prepares a transcript to be sent to the hosting institution; prepares internship agreement (if necessary)
In the bulletin "Verfahren bei der Genehmigung von Studien-Auslandsaufenthalten" (GERMAN ONLY) you will find an overview of the steps that must be taken prior to your stay abroad.
