Support for Junior Researchers

The excellent teacher-to-student ratio at the Universität der Bundeswehr München is also reflected in the way young scholars are supervised and the amount of individual attention they receive. The student body at the Universität der Bundeswehr is relatively small. As a result, particularly intensive supervision is possible during the periods leading up to completion of the Ph.D. and the post-doctoral teaching certification.

Naturally, the young researchers employed by the University also benefit from the quality of the research facilities. Laboratories with modern equipment, the services provided by the Data Processing Center, the library, and the IT infrastructure make our campus a research environment conducive to creative and innovative ideas.

The Universität der Bundeswehr München offers participation in pre-/postdoctoral colleges and Collaborative Research Centers to assist young scholars. A network of programs for doctoral candidates offered by our departments as well as international exchange programs are currently being developed.

Students with excellent grades may already be recommended to the German National Academic Foundation for a scholarship during their bachelor's studies. Naturally, students may also apply independently to other scholarship organizations.
