Research at the Universität der Bundeswehr München
The Universität der Bundeswehr München, which has become an integral part of both the national and international research communities, reflects Humboldt’s ideal of a university that not only teaches but also conducts research.
As a campus-style university with excellent facilities, the University provides an ideal environment for fruitful research activities. Our university is unique in Germany in that it offers both university programs of study and programs of study at a College of Applied Sciences – with equal academic standards. As a result, it offers a broad spectrum of opportunities for scientific work and cooperation, ranging from basic research to application-related research and development projects.
This interdisciplinary, interdepartmental team-work is the basis of efficient, competitive and prestigious research work and teaching.
We cooperate, both nationally and internationally, with other universities and academic institutions as well as with private and public institutions.
The Universität der Bundeswehr München, which has become a center of scientific competence and which has found a firm standing among Germany’s universities, has also set itself ambitious goals for the future. It intends to
- promote talented young scholars and improve the quality of training and education,
- intensify cooperation within the University,
- foster national and international cooperation with other academic institutions, universities, businesses, and public institutions.
All of this makes our university an attractive and competent cooperation partner and will help to secure its place as one of the nation’s top centers of learning.
