Welcome to the Entrepreneurship Center of the  University Bw Munich

For Students we provide courses in business planning via the university-wide studium+ program.

For "to-be" entrepreneurs we provide consulting and coaching in the decision to start a venture (or choose other venues to valorise your inventions), to develop the business plan, develop the product, create the company, find investors and grow a business.

For researchers we provide a research program on entrepreneurship and innovation.

For industry we provide access to leading technology and innovative products emerging from research labs -- and support in the entrepreneurial collaboration process.

Entrepreneurship is a new term for the process of turning an idea, including new inventions, into products for users and customers and further into a venture with growth potential. If successfull, it provides a strong mechanism to create value from research and innovation.

4Entrepreneurship: Munich is Germany´s most prominent entrepreneurship region. We are part of  this alliance of the four entrepreneurship center of the four Munich universities that strongly back the regional entrepreneurial network, e.g.:

    • The Munich Business Plan Competition is a joint inititative of the four universities, city council, state government and industry to mobilize entrepreneurial activity.
    • The Social Entrepreneurship Academy is qualifies and supports social entrepreneurs. It has received awards by Stifterverband der Deutschen Wissenschaft in 2010 and the German innovation award "Ort im land der Ideen" 2011.
    • The Gründerinnen Akademie is the female Entrepreneurship Program.
    • GESS is the International Entrepreneurship Summerschool in Munich in September.

The Entrepreneurship Center has been created by the board of the University BW Munich in 2010 and has assigned CeTIM to operate it. All German universities have established  entrepreneurship centers and/or nominated professors for entrepreneurship.
