Some aspects about preconditioning for hp-FEM
Der Vortrag findet im Raum 0129 im Gebäude 37 auf dem Campus der Universität der Bundeswehr München in Neubiberg statt.
Abstrakt
In this talk, we investigate an elliptic boundary value problem which is discretized by means of the hp-version of the finite element method using quadrilateral or hexahedral elements. The corresponding linear system of algebraic equations is solved by a pcg-method using domain decomposition preconditioners with inexact subproblem solvers.
In this talk, we will present preconditioners such that the linear system can be performed in almost optimal complexity.
The preconditioners exploit the tensor product structure of the elements.
